Testing Facilities at Viraj’s Fasteners Plant

The stainless steel fasteners plant is equipped with various testing facilities like tensile testing machine, hardness test, IGC test and positive material identification test. Following the commitment to provide high-end products to partners across the globe, the fasteners manufactured at Viraj go through a rigorous quality check.

Tensile testing machine determines the ultimate tensile strength (UTS), the maximum stress a fastener can withstand before it breaks. With the tensile strength in hand, the application of the fastener can be decided. The hardness test assesses a fastener’s hardness consistency, which determines the wear resistance. The IGC test detects chromium carbide precipitation and the effectiveness of heat treatment. PMI ensures the authenticity of the material and access to the compliances.
